After a rather tough play, Rega Merida CF's Telis Lianos got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 40th minute of play forced Rega Merida CF's goalkeeper Konstanty Wawro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The audience was convinced that Nistor Sârban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 56th minute of the game.
