Sváfnir Hásteinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 11th minute of play. If Kiljan Valbergsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiljan Valbergsson in the 16th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiljan Valbergsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crystals's Sváfnir Hásteinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 24th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crystals's Sváfnir Hásteinsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Jóann Sindrason tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Jóann Sindrason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Jóann Sindrason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Crystals's Jóann Sindrason slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 3-1 after 48 minutes of play.

After a defensive mix-up in Crystals's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sváfnir Hásteinsson came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jóann Sindrason in the 62nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiljan Valbergsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jóann Sindrason scored 4-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Henrý Reimarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Henrý Reimarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jóann Sindrason in the 85th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Eliseo Noboa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sváfnir Hásteinsson, passed just outside the right post. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jóann Sindrason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crystals's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
