The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th match minute, Brujas KV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Roso to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Grandi Lupi's Alfonz Kállai got control of the ball when Torrey Molloy tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grandi Lupi's Charly Alberti got a free kick in the 13th minute. Charly Alberti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inge Marin having to make a save. 19 minutes into the match, Grandi Lupi's goalkeeper Alfonz Kállai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Rios. Alfonz Kállai made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Thorvald Egfjord sent off a good shot on target. Alfonz Kállai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Rios's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Harry Styles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfonz Kállai firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alfonz Kállai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thorvald Egfjord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alfonz Kállai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inge Marin came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Grandi Lupi's Charly Alberti. But to his dismay, Charly Alberti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

Brujas KV's Óli Manfredi was substituted for Torrey Molloy. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Óli Manfredi was the one to do the kick off. Apolo Abancens got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Apolo Abancens. The Brujas KV fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Brujas KV's Óli Manfredi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óli Manfredi in the 63rd minute of play forced Grandi Lupi's goalkeeper Alfonz Kállai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
