Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Cordarrell in the 3rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Martin Cordarrell came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Martin Cordarrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Eddy Rüegsegger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Martin Cordarrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Gunter Waller scored 3-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Beyhan Gençoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Gunter Waller took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Göktürk Tuncal hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taha Günden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 minutes ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunter Waller. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Cordarrell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 41 minute of play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taha Günden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Eddy Rüegsegger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göktürk Tuncal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddy Rüegsegger scored 8-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Gunter Waller sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Göktürk Tuncal made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gunter Waller however managed to control. If Beyhan Gençoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Martin Cordarrell got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK got a freekick which was hit by Göktürk Tuncal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Cordarrell in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK fully deserved thier win.
