The tension between the Peru and the Cactos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 26th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Victoriano Loreto, made in the 28th minute of the game. In the 29th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Allison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cengizhan Baycan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cactos's Bran Allison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cactos's Bran Allison tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Cactos booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Gayoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bran Allison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Cactos made a substitution. Luisinho Maciel replaced Cengizhan Baycan. After 67 played minutes Cactos got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Palomba. 68 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Bran Allison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bran Allison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cactos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Tenorio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
