Trifon Chalkias's late challenge caught a FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trifon Chalkias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Trifon Chalkias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orestas Kontautas might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giorgos Nifitsas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladas Drakul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Nifitsas having to interfere. Orestas Kontautas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Giorgos Nifitsas made a huge save. Giorgos Dogramadzhiev scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubertas Radzinevičius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Giorgos Dogramadzhiev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TZITZIFIES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 36 minutes into the match, Giorgos Dogramadzhiev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hubertas Radzinevičius. FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giorgos Dogramadzhiev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artūras Putrimas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Isidoros Chatzidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TZITZIFIES and the FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to TZITZIFIES getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Isidoros Chatzidis hit a great ball. When Stamatis Birbas fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TZITZIFIES's protests and gave Stamatis Birbas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, TZITZIFIES's Stamatis Birbas got a free kick in the 57th minute. Giorgos Dogramadzhiev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Hubertas Radzinevičius made a huge save. TZITZIFIES's Giorgos Nifitsas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orestas Kontautas in the 73rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Giorgos Dogramadzhiev took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Hubertas Radzinevičius to make any attempt to save it. 82 minutes into the game, Giorgos Dogramadzhiev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hubertas Radzinevičius. Giorgos Dogramadzhiev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 92nd match minute, FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladas Drakul to maneuver through the defense.

The TZITZIFIES supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TZITZIFIES would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
