In the 9th minute of the match Saronida FC got a corner. AFC Viola Gigliati's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dimitris Koubouris ran over to the corner to take the kick. Min Ordoña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michalis Kazantziou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, AFC Viola Gigliati's Waldir Velaz got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Pavlos Koubaroulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavlos Koubaroulis kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Kleanthis Louvaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Min Ordoña having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 62nd minute, Michalis Kazantziou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marios Zachalios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Horduña's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Marios Zachalios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Velaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 minutes, Petros Maragoudakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saronida FC and the AFC Viola Gigliati players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87thth minute of the game Kleanthis Louvaris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Viola Gigliati's Min Ordoña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of AFC Viola Gigliati booed when Saronida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoros Konstantaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Saronida FC's zone, Enrico Cicero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marios Zachalios came out of the goal and Enrico Cicero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

AFC Viola Gigliati's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
