In the 9th minute, Iulian Taşcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Iulian Taşcu in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Academica Pulheim's goalie prevented a goal. Iulian Taşcu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Winitzki to maneuver through the defense. Dariusz Wieberneit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Purje in the 16th minute of the match. -BZF- Barca de Buzau were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Academica Pulheim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Basarab Achimescu took the corner. The corner ended in Basarab Achimescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit did a great save. After 20 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Achimescu. Academica Pulheim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Sebastian Purje scored to the left of an out of position Dariusz Wieberneit, making the score, 1-0. Sebastian Purje received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dariusz Wieberneit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the -BZF- Barca de Buzau defense, Roman Biehlert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horaţiu Nițoi. The -BZF- Barca de Buzau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Nițoi should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Taşcu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Purje received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dariusz Wieberneit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Panait Vochin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Vochin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dariusz Wieberneit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Vochin, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Panait Vochin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liviu Răuţă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Noel Schaffert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Horaţiu Nițoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Horaţiu Nițoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Barca de Buzau from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barnabas Rogge got free with Horaţiu Nițoi in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Horaţiu Nițoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when -BZF- Barca de Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Băcioiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Codruț Ichimescu got a free kick in the 90th minute.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Academica Pulheim walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
