He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Harald Mogren. The audience was convinced that Henrik Larsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lasse Hensing was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Victory F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Larsson came free, but Lasse Hensing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Lasse Hensing managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Arsenal FC's Henrik Larsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Per-Åke Albäck came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Arsenal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Åke Albäck couldn't finish the play. In the 61st match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Hök to maneuver through the defense. Henrik Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Hensing having to interfere. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when Victory F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelle Munkeboe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Åke Albäck was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Harald Mogren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauritz Almby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrik Larsson took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lasse Hensing. Lasse Hensing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Lasse Hensing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Larsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arsenal FC's Henrik Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Balder Weinkouff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Mogren having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Birger Nordström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 3-3. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.
After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Henrik Larsson made the kick off and play began. Lasse Hensing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Larsson in the 105th minute of play. Arsenal FC played a much better game than Victory F.C. and deserved their victory. The Victory F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
