Anjullan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Artizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silverio Mazuste to maneuver through the defense. Remigio Joanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Artizar in the 14th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Anjullan AFC's corner Guaberto Eduino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remigio Joanes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th minute, Alfonso Lluis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Falckner FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jose Artizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Joanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Anjullan AFC's Jose Artizar got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Tano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Artizar in the 34th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Remigio Joanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Anjullan AFC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Anjullan AFC's Jose Artizar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marco Edorta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Lluis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Israel Meder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Edorta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Lluis, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 66 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Filipo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jose Artizar in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Joanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Silverio Mazuste fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falckner FC's protests and gave Silverio Mazuste a yellow card for diving instead. Silverio Mazuste hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Anjullan AFC's Victorio Cordairo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remigio Joanes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Edgardo Lleir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Edorta. Anjullan AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Lleir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Remigio Joanes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Cordairo's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 3-3. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

A nice corner shot did that Guaberto Eduino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Remigio Joanes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Remigio Joanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Cordairo in the 114th minute of the match. When the referee signaled the end of the first half of extra-time the score was 3-3. The players had a chance to rest for a moment before the second half.

Everyone could clearly see that both Anjullan AFC's and Falckner FC's players was becoming tired in their legs when Anjullan AFC's Israel Meder did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. With his leg Remigio Joanes managed to avoid a goal in the 118thth minute, when Anjullan AFC's Victorio Cordairo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Victorio Cordairo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 126th minute. Remigio Joanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither team seemed willing to take risks during extra-time and the defenses won out. The match would now go to a penalty shoot-out.

Marco Edorta had in the 134thth minute some difficulties stopping Israel Meder's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 135 played minutes Silverio Mazuste shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Anjullan AFC's Marco Edorta to catch but Silverio Mazuste was lucky. It became 4-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 137th minute, the referee gave Anjullan AFC a penalty. Victorio Cordairo looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Remigio Joanes. Anjullan AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
