The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Spartak de Txurdi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Björn Sjö scored to the left of an out of position Xesus Jurado, making the score, 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Spartak de Txurdi's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Lindqvist came free, but Xesus Jurado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Dahlkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Hernandez took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Helge Lingren. Helge Lingren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Helge Lingren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Silvino Higuera hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Helge Lingren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Beloki in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute Martin Klintæus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xesus Jurado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helge Lingren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Supreme FC's Helge Lingren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Beloki in the 43rd minute of play. Spartak de Txurdi were furious when Jairo Alvarez was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Spartak de Txurdi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Xesus Jurado had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Kurt Lindqvist's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Pedriza to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Christian Dahlgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eulalio Pedriza, 51 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Xesus Jurado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Klintæus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Supreme FC's corner Emil Utter fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Xesus Jurado quite easily take care of the ball. George Beloki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Helge Lingren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Xesus Jurado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Sjö in the 76th minute of the match. Felix Darroja charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Darroja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Supreme FC booed when Spartak de Txurdi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Darroja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xesus Jurado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Lindqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Supreme FC's Kurt Lindqvist started the play with his kick off. A collision led to Spartak de Txurdi getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Geronimo Marques hit a great ball. In the 102nd minute Kurt Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xesus Jurado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Sjö could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 112th minute of the match, but Xesus Jurado made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Hernandez during the 113th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both sets of players were looking tired when the whistle went to end the half. Everyone was pleased to get a few minutes to rest before extra-time resumed.

Helge Lingren made a fantastic save in the 117th minute, when Felix Darroja sent off a good shot on target. Kurt Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 122nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvino Higuera hit a great freekick 124 minutes into the match. In the 126th minute, Spartak de Txurdi's Felix Darroja ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Helge Lingren. Helge Lingren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Spartak de Txurdi were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Supreme FC's much stronger midfield.
