Wincenty Andryszyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, KS Hetman Zamosc's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Sanches came free, but Wincenty Andryszyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the KS Hetman Zamosc defense, Leopoldo Sanches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wincenty Andryszyn. The KS Hetman Zamosc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wincenty Andryszyn should have stopped the shot. Boruc Burdalski charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boruc Burdalski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Leopoldo Sanches came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Wincenty Andryszyn had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Leopoldo Sanches did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Wincenty Andryszyn 54 minutes into the match. In the 64th match minute, KS Hetman Zamosc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wladyslaw Dulka to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes KS Hetman Zamosc got a freekick which was hit by Ignacy Sowa. A collision led to KS Hetman Zamosc getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Herbert Gniech hit a great ball. If Leopoldo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Leopoldo Sanches slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wincenty Andryszyn. That made the score 0-3 after 86 minutes of play.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched S.E.R. Caxias do Sul eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
