Cafu Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector-Luis Conllas in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute Ekialde Balsera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frasco Esquivel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Magalhães in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Vesga got free with Cafu Linares in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 12 minutes of play, AFC United's Ekialde Balsera made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Cafu Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekialde Balsera in the 17th minute of play. AFC United's Ekialde Balsera got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Nardo Torrecilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OTTO FC - FSCMZ the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Magalhães in the 24th minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Frasco Esquivel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Fernando Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltasar Zunzunegui kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd play minute Eustaquio Vesga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cafu Linares. 2-0. 36 minutes into the game, Valdir Magalhães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Frasco Esquivel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Magalhães made a kick off. After 52 played minutes OTTO FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Peixoto. 55 minutes into the game, Hector-Luis Conllas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cafu Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 63 played minutes OTTO FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Sabóia. Ekialde Balsera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cafu Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ekialde Balsera in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, OTTO FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dênis Prata to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Hector-Luis Conllas made a precise shot to the right of Cafu Linares. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ekialde Balsera in the 75th minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cafu Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC United's Hector-Luis Conllas got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute Ekialde Balsera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustaquio Vesga scored 5-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cafu Linares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cafu Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ekialde Balsera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Eustaquio Vesga made a precise shot to the right of Cafu Linares. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1.

AFC United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
