After 19 played minutes Veth Crystals got a freekick which was hit by Teofil Karanowski. Juvenal Novaes's late challenge caught a Veth Crystals's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juvenal Novaes helped the player get up and apologised. Veth Crystals's Slawomir Juzda was substituted for Fryderyk Badanowski. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Juvenal Novaes got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Paulo Renato Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beniamin Teofila couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedykt Pionek made a kick off. After 55 minutes, Deivid Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Iguaçu MZFC and the Veth Crystals players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Queirós. Juvenal Novaes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Jailson de Carvalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aureliusz Naumowicz. Jailson de Carvalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 93rd minute, Benedykt Pionek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veth Crystals fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

When the final whistle sounded Nova Iguaçu MZFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Veth Crystals.
