In the 20th match minute, Villawalter City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andoitz Mendez to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute Jon Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joan Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villawalter City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kent Blomqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 37 minutes, Sivert Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wetterqvist Boys BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sivert Ekström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 minutes, Sivert Ekström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wetterqvist Boys BK and the Villawalter City players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Wetterqvist Boys BK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Sivert Ekström hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Säv in the 45th minute of play forced Villawalter City's goalkeeper Joan Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andoitz Mendez during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
