The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matias Abella during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Matias Abella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Alzaga FC's Natalio Elivareo got a free kick in the 10th minute. Morten Hestad hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Ekain in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Morten Hestad came free, but Conan Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Luix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Christer Waaler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Steffen Askvik hit a great ball. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Elivareo in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Alzaga FC booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. John-Einar Bøen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Elivareo in the 25th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christer Waaler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Ekain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alberto Fernández hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, Alzaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Luix to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Morten Hestad came free, but Conan Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Alzaga FC's zone, Kristian Sandersen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conan Ledesma came out of the goal and Kristian Sandersen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Natalio Elivareo hit a great ball. Alzaga FC's Conan Ledesma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morten Hestad in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Morten Hestad to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Emanuel Kinsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morten Hestad hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Åsnes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Manuel Ekain was slow to take the kick. During this time Alzaga FC's players had a chance to rest. After 63 played minutes Alzaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Matias Abella. Kristian Sandersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conan Ledesma having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Kristian Sandersen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Conan Ledesma. That made the score 0-2 in the 73 minute of play. Alzaga FC's Paolo Platon was substituted for Apolo Cordarryl. Alzaga FC's Severo Gilen was substituted for Martin Indartsu. Emanuel Kinsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alzaga FC's Conan Ledesma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Alzaga FC from getting a goal against them. Christer Waaler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Elivareo in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Ekain in the 86th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conan Ledesma was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Kristian Sandersen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kristian Sandersen really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Åsnes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
