After 16 minutes, Eusebiu Siniştean made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Hawk Tuah FC's Eddie Bergström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Eusebiu Siniştean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eddie Bergström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Eusebiu Siniştean came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebiu Siniştean couldn't finish the play. Evert Mikaelsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iulian Burtea came out and tried to block the shot, but Evert Mikaelsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 40th minute. Ingvar Kleen made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Leif Västlund however managed to control. After having played for 44 minutes, Nichifor Mara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MIT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nichifor Mara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Hawk Tuah FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MIT were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Siniştean was the one to do the kick off. When MIT's Eusebiu Siniştean in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Hawk Tuah FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Albert Hellbom hit a great ball. Iulian Burtea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Lööf, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some careless play in the MIT defense, Stig Lööf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iulian Burtea. The MIT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iulian Burtea should have stopped the shot. Mădălin Corocăescu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Hawk Tuah FC's Göran Eskilsson was substituted for Philip Carlsson. After 92 minutes of play, Hawk Tuah FC's Göran Eskilsson made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iulian Burtea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither Hawk Tuah FC or MIT succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

104 minutes into the match, Nichifor Mara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddie Bergström. Hawk Tuah FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nichifor Mara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4.
