Fernando Abarca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bircan Ulaç in the 4th minute of the match. With 9 minutes on the clock, Victoriano Tulio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cougars FC! Cougars FC:s Fernando Abarca showed great skill when he stopped Tayyar Niyazi:s penalty. 10 minutes into the match, Tayyar Niyazi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cougars FC's Fernando Abarca. Fernando Abarca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the game, Tibet Özyurt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Basmane Texas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cougars FC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Basmane Texas got a freekick which was hit by Tibet Özyurt. Ulu Hayat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Artal, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Fernando Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto Müjdat in the 19th minute of play. Adem Mutluer's late challenge caught a Cougars FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adem Mutluer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Adem Mutluer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulu Hayat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Sasoin in the 26th minute of the match. Ulu Hayat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Artal in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Pio in the 30th minute of play forced Basmane Texas's goalkeeper Ulu Hayat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cougars FC were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Basmane Texas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gualterio Pio took the corner. Ulu Hayat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Artal in the 31st minute of play. Ramon Rufo charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Rufo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, Ramon Rufo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Gualterio Pio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulu Hayat was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Basmane Texas's zone, Gualterio Pio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulu Hayat came out of the goal and Gualterio Pio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severo Sasoin made a kick off. Severo Sasoin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulu Hayat having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Basmane Texas's Adem Mutluer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Abarca. That made the score 1-2 after 59 minutes of play. In the 64th minute of the match Gualterio Pio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulu Hayat skillfully saved the ball. Ulu Hayat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Artal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Basmane Texas getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Adem Mutluer hit a great ball. In the 66th match minute, Cougars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Valerio to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Basmane Texas's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Artal came free, but Ulu Hayat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cougars FC's Fernando Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bircan Ulaç in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Cougars FC got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Pio. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when Basmane Texas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zekai Kutcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Fabio Artal put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ulu Hayat. Ulu Hayat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Pio in the 86th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Basmane Texas got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Müjdat. Teodosio Sendoa's late challenge caught a Basmane Texas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio Sendoa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cougars FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Teodosio Sendoa hit a great ball. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 2-2. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Basmane Texas's Bircan Ulaç started the play with the initial kick off. Fabio Artal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulu Hayat having to interfere. Ulu Hayat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Artal in the 108th minute of play. Teodosio Sendoa kicked well hit freekick during the 110th minute of the match. Basmane Texas's Adem Mutluer got his second yellow card of the match in the 114th minute. The referee ordered Adem Mutluer off the ground. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when Basmane Texas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 115 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adem Mutluer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score was still level after an even and exciting first-half in extra time. The players took a moment to grab a drink and get instructions from their managers before swapping ends.

Everyone could clearly see that both Cougars FC's and Basmane Texas's players was becoming tired in their legs when Cougars FC's Severo Sasoin did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. When the final whistle went the supporters of Basmane Texas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Cougars FC side.
