Pavel Tăutu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rufo Valverde made a huge save. The supporters of Nueva Adalucia booed when GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Gugulanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Aranzubia in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ioan Papadima saved GoooooooooooooooooooooooL from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Aranzubia in the 16th minute of play forced GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When José Zapico fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nueva Adalucia's protests and gave José Zapico a yellow card for diving instead. José Zapico hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Cristinel Patriciu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rufo Valverde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th match minute, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Pârlog to maneuver through the defense. Desiderio Lozano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ioan Papadima. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nueva Adalucia's Rufo Valverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Bogătean in the 35th minute of play. Rufo Valverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Medeleanu in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Dumitru Bogătean sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Nueva Adalucia's Rufo Valverde didn't even have to move. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Nueva Adalucia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GoooooooooooooooooooooooL:s goal. Rufo Valverde had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Dumitru Bogătean's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Aranzubia was the one to do the kick off. Nueva Adalucia's Peio Ponte got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dumitru Bogătean during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Dumitru Bogătean got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Alexandro Llorente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Nueva Adalucia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. José Zapico hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Enzo Bergada got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 72 minutes into the match, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Bergada. 75 minutes into the match, Nueva Adalucia's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Bogătean came free, but Rufo Valverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rufo Valverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Bogătean, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute, Alexandro Llorente reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ioan Papadima. The goal made the score 3-1. Alexandro Llorente charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandro Llorente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexandro Llorente kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Nueva Adalucia's goal looked a bit too open when David Medeleanu came free, but Rufo Valverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florencio Bastida kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Dumitru Bogătean, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

Nueva Adalucia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
