Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Rio from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Horia Irimescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Rio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nechifor Epure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Americo Leheren in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Falconara Albanese were awarded a corner. Placido Lesardo went to the cornerflag to take it. Orlando Neto struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Nechifor Epure didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falconara Albanese. Orlando Neto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nechifor Epure came out and tried to block the shot, but Orlando Neto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 36th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Orlando Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falconara Albanese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nechifor Epure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Neto in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, one of Falconara Albanese:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horia Irimescu was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 55 in the game by Horia Irimescu from a close distance when the talented Eriberto Truylos managed to make a qualified save. Falconara Albanese's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Falconara Albanese's Cristobal Dominix got a free kick in the 56th minute. Nae Martinescu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Urtsua in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Dan to maneuver through the defense. Falconara Albanese's Rafael Urtsua got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Falconara Albanese made a substitution. Godofredo Ignazio replaced Cristobal Dominix. Falconara Albanese's Ciriaco Eliazar was substituted for Placido Lesardo. In the 67th minute, János Oltean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Ignazio might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nechifor Epure. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godofredo Ignazio ran back to his position shaking his head. Falconara Albanese's Americo Leheren got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Americo Leheren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes, Alonzo Cresconio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falconara Albanese and the Academia Rio players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Falconara Albanese getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Alonzo Cresconio hit a great ball.

The Academia Rio players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
