Marcinho Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Filipo in the 11th minute of the match. Edelmiro Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bola Forte in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Robinho Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mamutes EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robinho Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robinho Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Lawrence hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of El retorno del Pincha booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bola Forte got free with Edelmiro Peruxu in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match Maximiliano Eguen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcinho Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edelmiro Peruxu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Mamutes EC's Almir Damião slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edelmiro Peruxu. That made the score 2-0 after 41 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, El retorno del Pincha's goal looked a bit too open when David Lima came free, but Edelmiro Peruxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bola Forte took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edelmiro Peruxu. Edelmiro Peruxu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 60 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Marcinho Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saturnino Michael. Bola Forte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Peruxu having to interfere. Edelmiro Peruxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Saturnino Michael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto de Lima to maneuver through the defense. Mamutes EC were furious when Carlos Augusto de Lima was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Mamutes EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El retorno del Pincha:s goal. In the 87th minute Bola Forte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Peruxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Damião in the 89th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes El retorno del Pincha got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Michael. 96 minutes into the game, Almir Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mamutes EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El retorno del Pincha the free kick. In the 97th minute, Almir Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Mamutes EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of El retorno del Pincha for a fine match.
