The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoph Kolp got free with Dida Brasil in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Válbson Carvalho hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Ismaele Santo Fischer fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motala AIF's protests and gave Ismaele Santo Fischer a yellow card for diving instead. Dida Brasil came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Motala AIF's Hanspeter Büchel. But to his dismay, Hanspeter Büchel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Dida Brasil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of PREZULO FC booed when Motala AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanspeter Büchel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 1-1. Extra-time would have to be played.
