After some careless play in the UE Cornella defense, Douglas Gustavo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fresco Baltanas. The UE Cornella fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fresco Baltanas should have stopped the shot. Pragmáticos 1903's Arí Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gitano Iniesta in the 19th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, UE Cornella's Alvito Font nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arí Sarmento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Nilmar de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pragmáticos 1903's protests and gave Nilmar de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Nilmar de Queirós hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Fresco Baltanas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Gustavo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Mazer to strike the kick off in the second half. When Douglas Gustavo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Pragmáticos 1903 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Gustavo couldn't finish the play. Pragmáticos 1903 made a substitution. When it was time for second half in the overtime, the players were a bit slow, but they soon became more alert when it was time for Telmo Palmeira to make the kick off. After having played for 117 minutes, Telmo Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pragmáticos 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Palmeira in the 119th minute of play forced UE Cornella's goalkeeper Fresco Baltanas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pragmáticos 1903's Arí Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toni Medina in the 124th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's David Mineiro got a free kick in the 127th minute. If Douglas Gustavo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 131st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telmo Palmeira in the 131st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fresco Baltanas saved UE Cornella from getting behind. The game was still level after extra-time. The match had to be settled by penalties!

Fresco Baltanas had in the 134thth minute some difficulties stopping Toni Medina's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when UE Cornella's Toni Medina after 134 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Pragmáticos 1903's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-3. In the 135th minute there was a penalty for Pragmáticos 1903. Telmo Palmeira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fresco Baltanas. 3-3. The referee gave Pragmáticos 1903 a penalty, 138 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Mineiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of UE Cornella's Fresco Baltanas. 4-3. In the 144th minute, the referee gave Pragmáticos 1903 a penalty. Gustavo Berger looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Fresco Baltanas.
