Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viktor Nyman kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes Hisingen IK got a freekick which was hit by Eric Nyman. A collision led to Hisingen IK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Eric Nyman hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Nyman during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Hisingen IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Nyman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Ström. Hisingen IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Viktor Nyman could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Hisingen IK's Edgar Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 24th minute of play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Hisingen IK's Bernt Vennerkvist. But to his dismay, Bernt Vennerkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Viktor Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Ström having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Jörn Fagrell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Nyman's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hisingen IK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 minutes, Bengt-Arne Wester mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hisingen IK and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Hisingen IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgar Ström. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Ström having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Hisingen IK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Blomberg. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Ström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Nyman in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes of play Hisingen IK's Eric Nyman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Ström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Nyman's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Ström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Edgar Ström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
