Edgar Ström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Viktor Nyman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Hisingen IK's Edgar Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Hisingen IK's Bernt Vennerkvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 35 minutes into the match, Hisingen IK's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Edgar Ström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play forced Hisingen IK's goalkeeper Edgar Ström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Edgar Ström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Edgar Ström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Edgar Ström however easily saved by the left post. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Ström having to interfere. Edgar Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Vennerkvist came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Ström was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Agustín Saelices capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agustín Saelices really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hisingen IK reached it. 66 minutes into the match, Hisingen IK's goalkeeper Edgar Ström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 70th match minute, Hisingen IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Edgar Ström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
