Claudinei Campidelis got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fabrício Sabóia. After having played for 89 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Edmundo Espiga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Honduras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
