Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Wolves's Arnas Užkuraitis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Leonas Mažeika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Nicolás Roche recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Nicolás Roche showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Leonas Mažeika showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Leonas Mažeika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonas Mažeika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 35th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonas Mažeika having to interfere. Leonas Mažeika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Dovydas Aleknius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Leonas Mažeika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Wolves's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leonas Mažeika quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 54 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolás Roche in the 57th minute of the match. Borys Weyna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnas Užkuraitis in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Wolves getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dacian Socoriceanu hit a great ball. Facundo Cadaval succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 79th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Wolves's zone, Luca Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonas Mažeika came out of the goal and Luca Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolás Roche in the 89th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Wolves's goalkeeper Leonas Mažeika had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Mexico played a much better game than Wolves and deserved their victory. The Wolves players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
