If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Juventus Țiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Târban didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marius Bălașa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marius Bălașa having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Boteanu got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes Juventus Țiu got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Daimacă. When Claudiu Tăutu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Juventus Țiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Tăutu couldn't finish the play. Marius Bălașa came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After 36 played minutes Juventus Țiu got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Târban. Marius Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Bălașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Bălașa having to interfere. The Juventus Țiu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Boteanu made a kick off. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Boteanu's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The Juventus Țiu fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Juventus Țiu's Manuel Boteanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 62nd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A hard shot 66 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Marius Bălașa managed to make a qualified save. Juventus Țiu's players were relieved. In the 71st minute, Juventus Țiu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Boteanu's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Juventus Țiu's goalkeeper Marius Bălașa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Marius Bălașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Marius Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Marius Bălașa made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Juventus Țiu.
