In the 3rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but István Sipos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Sipos having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Araújo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. István Sipos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovanni Araújo might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovanni Araújo ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Araújo in the 14th minute of play. Thorbjørn Brunswick hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Araújo in the 23rd minute of the match. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's István Sipos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute. After 35 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. István Sipos was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Daniel Zorita, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 38 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The István Sipos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. István Sipos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that István Sipos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 51st minute of the game was made by Camilo Gisbert with Luis Andino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 54 minutes, Wincenty Gdaniec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincenty Gdaniec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but István Sipos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, Zbyszek Sokol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Pierońskie Hanysy made a substitution. Lucjan Klimkiewicz replaced Miromir Burdalski. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Holger Ettur was substituted for Geovanni Araújo. After a rather tough play, FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Zbyszek Sokol got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Ettur in the 68th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute Holger Ettur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which István Sipos however easily saved by the left post. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Holger Ettur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Holger Ettur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Holger Ettur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Ettur in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Holger Ettur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
