After having played for 18 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dinu Cănănău was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Dinamite in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Dinamite got free with Dante Lacasa in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robert Dinamite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UFC Veseud's Dinu Cănănău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of play. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nurettin Ula's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Robert Dinamite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Dinamite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dinu Cănănău firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. UFC Veseud made a substitution. Yu Hui Peng replaced Nurettin Ula. In the 86th minute, Jörgen Skoog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dinu Cănănău narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind UFC Veseud's goalkeeper Dinu Cănănău, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
