Feliks Kowalski made a great header on Elioszki's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabrio Varlett in the 15th minute. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Elioszki booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elioszki's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
