Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Carel Van Hermenghem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Hayden Burley came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Stewe booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hayden Burley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hayden Burley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Hayden Burley came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. 22 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hayden Burley. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Hayden Burley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hayden Burley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carel Van Hermenghem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endre Austnes in the 37th minute of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stewe's Carel Van Hermenghem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Endre Austnes in the 43rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Endre Austnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Endre Austnes made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Endre Austnes came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Endre Austnes's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. During the 55th minute of the match Jose Correa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jose Correa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hayden Burley in the 56th minute of play. Endre Austnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Edmund Keyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Wayne Mays hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carel Van Hermenghem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Gisbert in the 74th minute of the match. When Endre Austnes came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Stewe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Endre Austnes couldn't finish the play. Endre Austnes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joshua Secada didn't quite understand what happened when in the 87 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 90th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Stewe's Hayden Burley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.
