After a defensive mix-up in Westra Aros SK's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Västlund came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 4th minute. Don Nickler took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ivan Västlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Don Nickler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Don Nickler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Alvin Söderkvist's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvin Söderkvist helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Westra Aros SK got a freekick which was hit by Axel Linberg. After 32 minutes of play, Westra Aros SK's Don Nickler made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mark Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Ivan Västlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Don Nickler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ivan Västlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Westra Aros SK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Don Nickler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Västlund having to interfere. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Westra Aros SK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Ivan Västlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvin Söderkvist hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Don Nickler scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 0-5. After having played for 86 minutes, Don Nickler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westra Aros SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Nickler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Västlund having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Venezuela lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
