In the 29th minute, Fabien Canu made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lunar Park's Cedric Van Langhendoncx. Cedric Van Langhendoncx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th match minute, Lunar Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Taillade to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Cedric Van Langhendoncx in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabien Canu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Fabien Canu could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Thiago Pliego however easily saved by the left post. Fabien Canu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lunar Park getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Esteban Alvarado hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Fabien Canu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 82nd minute of play forced Lunar Park's goalkeeper Cedric Van Langhendoncx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cedric Van Langhendoncx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedric Van Langhendoncx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
