After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Nelu Oblemenco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Nelu Oblemenco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nelu Oblemenco came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelu Oblemenco couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dacian Cârju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelu Oblemenco scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the game, ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆'s Nelu Oblemenco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 32nd minute, Nelu Oblemenco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelu Oblemenco, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

But to his dismay, Nelu Oblemenco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nelu Oblemenco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 66 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Nelu Oblemenco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 0-7 in the 71 minute of play. ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆ made a substitution. Răzvan Pascaru replaced Rareș Maftei. ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆ made a substitution. Zlatan Ibrahimov replaced Nelu Oblemenco.
