Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tommy Rabot got the match started through his kick off. Fresco Limon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Xaloc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fresco Limon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Virgilio Quevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fresco Limon made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of play forced Xaloc's goalkeeper Fresco Limon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Alejandro Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fresco Limon. Fresco Limon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Virgilio Quevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Xaloc booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cefero Morera came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Tommy Rabot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Tommy Rabot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Xaloc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josep Fontana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Fresco Limon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Virgilio Quevedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgilio Quevedo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fresco Limon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Virgilio Quevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Xaloc's Aristeo Estruch was substituted for Jusepe Coello. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Leon, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With an all-out effort, Xaloc's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Virgilio Quevedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fresco Limon having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Tommy Rabot sent off a good shot on target. Virgilio Quevedo's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgilio Quevedo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Xaloc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Quevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Quevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere.
