A sloppy throw-in by Ildefonso Paulin in the 5th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The supporters of Peru booed when FC NORDLAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robben Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Benett in the 15th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Angelillo Di Maria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Angelillo Di Maria put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Benett in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Joaquin Prats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joar Frisck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play forced FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Joar Frisck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Hernaiz came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play forced FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Joar Frisck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelillo Di Maria in the 28th minute of the match. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joar Frisck made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Hernaiz in the 40th minute of play. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Benett in the 46th minute of play. The Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC NORDLAND were winning 0-1.

When Milagros Fraga came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milagros Fraga couldn't finish the play. Joar Frisck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, FC NORDLAND's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Joar Frisck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. Joar Frisck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joar Frisck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 75 minutes FC NORDLAND's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Mina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joar Frisck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Joar Frisck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benno Betancor hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Joar Frisck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Peru booed when FC NORDLAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Hernaiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after FC NORDLAND's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseo Mina took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC NORDLAND's goalie and right to Alonso Berganza. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC NORDLAND's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Chants of FC NORDLAND echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Peru had held the ball for most of the match.
