Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Esteve Paublo. In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Xesc Labarra sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Ángel Santoro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Ángel Santoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Ángel Santoro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Chacarita Futsal's Xesc Labarra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Dalmacio Karmel kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Cipriano Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Chacarita Futsal's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Miguel Ángel Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chacarita Futsal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The wind increased when Xesc Labarra made the kick off in the second half. Xesc Labarra charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xesc Labarra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xesc Labarra hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ángel Santoro having to interfere. Chacarita Futsal's Miguel Ángel Santoro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Chacarita Futsal from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute, Xesc Labarra made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play forced Chacarita Futsal's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Agustín Saelices fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xesc Labarra in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Xesc Labarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Genaro Min mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita Futsal and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chacarita Futsal made a substitution. Samuel Paulista replaced Xesc Labarra. In the 88th minute, one of Chacarita Futsal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chacarita Futsal. Miguel Ángel Santoro had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dalmacio Karmel hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 99 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Chacarita Futsal succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
