Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Endre Austnes started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Hayden Burley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hayden Burley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Hayden Burley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Stewe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wayne Mays didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carel Van Hermenghem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martial Vrijdag, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Stewe's Carel Van Hermenghem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. If Hayden Burley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Martial Vrijdag recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Endre Austnes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Stewe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hayden Burley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hayden Burley got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Stewe's Quincy Wooten to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Stewe's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carel Van Hermenghem came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carel Van Hermenghem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 60th minute. Wayne Mays's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wayne Mays helped the player get up and apologised. Wayne Mays hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Endre Austnes hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70thth minute of the game Endre Austnes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Carel Van Hermenghem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endre Austnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carel Van Hermenghem saved Stewe from getting behind. Martial Vrijdag struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stewe. 93 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carel Van Hermenghem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 94 minutes Stewe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Stewe's Quincy Wooten got a free kick in the 95th minute.
