Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Alican Sungurbay started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Okan Akdoğan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okan Akdoğan having to interfere. Alican Sungurbays short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Alican Sungurbay fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 23rd play minutes Alican Sungurbay shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 26th match minute, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkan Başok to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the ESKİŞEHİRSPOR defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Okan Akdoğan. The ESKİŞEHİRSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Okan Akdoğan should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Okan Akdoğan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Okan Akdoğan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Raik Özdener got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Alican Sungurbay got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. After a rather tough play, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's İnanç Asutay got a free kick in the 41st minute. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Alican Sungurbay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alican Sungurbay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute of play forced ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goalkeeper Okan Akdoğan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alican Sungurbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okan Akdoğan having to interfere. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Okan Akdoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Okan Akdoğan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Sami Işık stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Sami Işık tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Okan Akdoğan. Okan Akdoğan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Erkan Başok shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ESKİŞEHİRSPOR reached it. Alican Sungurbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Abdulvahit Tunç threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Jose Correa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Okan Akdoğan was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 85th match minute, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alican Sungurbay to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alican Sungurbay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3.
