Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abi Russo went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Aysouraguán's Abi Russo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Abi Russo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Benito Sanz was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Hugo Ferrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Aysouraguán players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Hugo Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Peter Alacuart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. In the 46th minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Abi Russo made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Aysouraguán's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaizki Valverde came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abi Russo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abi Russo scored 2-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Aysouraguán's Henry Salazar. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abi Russo in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abi Russo in the 68th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Abi Russo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aysouraguán's supporters rose to their feet, but Abi Russo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abi Russo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Jaizki Valverde in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Abi Russo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aysouraguán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abi Russo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Efrain Moruga made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Aysouraguán's Henry Salazar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Aysouraguán had played much better football throughout.
