KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Cucao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute, Paolo Cucao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Paolo Cucao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Paolo Cucao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filipe Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Vincent Van Gogh hit a great ball. Vincent Van Gogh charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincent Van Gogh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filipe Meireles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard and well directed shot from Abraham Alguacil led 30 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Filipe Meireles became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. Jose Carita kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Filipe Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Paolo Cucao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Cucao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After a rather tough play, KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Vincent Van Gogh got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 72 minutes, Paolo Cucao made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Filipe Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Tomas Berganzas short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Filipe Meireles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute, Paolo Cucao made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Filipe Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Cucao in the 94th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
