When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nistor Popilean made a kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Pociu in the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nistor Popilean in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Popilean in the 53rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Şimandan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bogdan Şimandan came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 54th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Bogdan Şimandan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Pociu came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sir Alexandria's Bogdan Şimandan got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bogdan Şimandan came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Bogdan Şimandan to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Bogdan Şimandan in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
