After 48 played minutes Fălciu got a freekick which was hit by Adam Babarada. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maxim Zbârnea to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxim Zbârnea during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filip Ivănescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filip Ivănescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Filip Ivănescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Luca Gligan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, one of Fălciu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fălciu:s Filip Ivănescu showed great skill when he stopped Joel Gaona:s penalty. Fălciu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
