The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boguslaw Zawaski. GORNIK PIASKI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Chile booed when GORNIK PIASKI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugon Pincoski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariusz Nalaskowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Danny King threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Felix Garrido quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by GORNIK PIASKI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boguslaw Zawaski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. Boguslaw Zawaski didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Papi Erős, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The GORNIK PIASKI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boguslaw Zawaski should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, GORNIK PIASKI's Boguslaw Zawaski got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 77th minute of play forced GORNIK PIASKI's goalkeeper Boguslaw Zawaski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chile eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
