Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Dibala got free with Julio Vera in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Paulo Dibala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Dibala in the 12th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Stanislao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justino Stanislao came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Paulo Dibala tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Lucas Langoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suipacha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Langoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Dibala. The nice shot from Paulo Dibala in the 23rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Julio Vera had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! In the 33rd minute, Paulo Dibala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 40th minute, Paulo Dibala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suipacha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdi Sekste in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Dibala made a kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Dibala in the 51st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Dibala in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Stanislao having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Dibala in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Dibala in the 71st minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Dibala, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Preston Keato in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Dibala struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suipacha FC.
