In the 19th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Terra Scaniae's zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Khodadad Khan came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Pardo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 24th playminute. When Paraguay's Jaime Pardo in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xavier Zoido during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. The referee gave Terra Scaniae a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anders Lingren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A well-hit corner resulted in Juan Diego Tenorio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Khodadad Khan saved Terra Scaniae from getting behind. Kent Gunnarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Frans Hedling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khodadad Khan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 94th minute of the match. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Näfver in the 98th minute of play. Paraguay were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Terra Scaniae to leave the ground with a draw.
