An unexpectedly hard shot by Xesc Labarra in the 24th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Moises Cayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Chacarita Futsal's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Santoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita Futsal's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Ángel Santoro came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Miguel Ángel Santoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chacarita Futsal the free kick. In the 49th minute Chacarita Futsal were awarded a corner. Augusto Rosalio went to the cornerflag to take it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Miguel Ángel Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of play. Miguel Ángel Santoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chacarita Futsal's Miguel Ángel Santoro did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xesc Labarra got free with Julio Vera in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Ángel Santoro. Miguel Ángel Santoro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Chacarita Futsal made a substitution. Samuel Paulista replaced Xesc Labarra. Chacarita Futsal's Evaristo Perez was substituted for Arild Nodland. In the 72nd minute, Genaro Min hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th match minute, Chacarita Futsal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Karmel to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Samuel Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Perez in the 97th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
