The audience thought a goal was coming when Gleb Elkibaev got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute Esperance were awarded a corner. Felix Kazachenok went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Kazachenok made a great header on Esperance's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. 曲强洋 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Esperance's 曲强洋 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 35 minutes into the game, Gleb Elkibaev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, Esperance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiy Sitnik to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play forced Esperance's goalkeeper 曲强洋 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 曲强洋 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Esperance getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Arkadiy Sitnik hit a great ball. 曲强洋 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bram Boonen went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Gavriil Dolgachev scored 4-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
