Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 19th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Esperance's 曲强洋 managed to reach the ball for a save. 19 minutes into the match, Juan Sebastián Puig notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Esperance's 曲强洋. 曲强洋 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Engström in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Esperance's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but 曲强洋 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Esperance defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 曲强洋. The Esperance fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 曲强洋 should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gleb Elkibaev got free with Julio Vera in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esperance's 曲强洋 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 39th minute of play. When Roy Engström came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Esperance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Engström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play forced Esperance's goalkeeper 曲强洋 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Esperance's 曲强洋 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 52nd minute of play. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. 曲强洋 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Felix Kazachenok was slow to take the kick. During this time Esperance's players had a chance to rest. Esperance's Felix Kazachenok was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Esperance's 曲强洋 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Esperance from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, Esperance's goalkeeper 曲强洋 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 80 played minutes Esperance got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiy Barbarash. Esperance made a substitution. Marat Markov replaced Arkadiy Barbarash. Esperance's Nikolay Adabir was substituted for Roy Engström. A collision led to Esperance getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Arkadiy Barbarash hit a great ball. Felix Montes came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and 曲强洋 could save by the left post. With a little luck, Esperance's 曲强洋 got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro suffered a concussion after 93 minutes and had to leave the field. After 93 minutes, Marat Gusakov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esperance and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Felix Montenegro. In the 95th minute, Marat Gusakov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
